Vistron Single Face Web Inspect provides a fully automatic control of the flute formation process at the single facer of a corrugator or laminator. The vision technology system of Vistron consists of water cooled LED lighting units, high-speed line scan cameras, a processing unit with software, and a 24“ touch screen monitor, for the user interface and image presentation. With Single Face Web Inspect, the formation of the flute at the Single Facer is 100 % monitored, right after the corrugation of the fluting. Images of identified quality issues are magnified, highlighted and presented on the control monitor. Single Face Web Inspect triggers a marking of the faulty part of the web and, depending on the configuration of system and the capabilities of the corrugator, also triggers bad sheet ejection, at a to be defined location.
Single Face Web Inspect checks the flute formation process in real-time, up to a linear speed of 500 m/min. The recognition accuracy of the system is down to a resolution of a few mm² (depending on flute profile). Systems for a web width of up to 3.350 mm are possible. The algorithms of the Vistron Single Face Web Inspect System recognize the following, typical defects:

The configuration and installation of the Single Face Web Inspect System is customized to the single facer of your corrugator/laminator. Vistron vision systems are being used successfully, on a wide range

upon request. Operation of the system is easy and comfortably done by means of a 24” touch screen monitor (second monitor for the control room optional). Identified faults trigger an acoustic alarm and the corresponding images are shown on the monitor. Images with faults can be zoomed in and out directly on the monitor and therefore, provide useful information for root cause analyses and trouble shooting. Upon request, the system creates a detailed shift report, which can be used for in-depth evaluation of potential issues. By that, you may optimize your corrugating process and product quality beyond your current production and subsequently reduce your manufacturing costs. Faults in the fluting paper and during the corrugation process are being recognized immediately, not only at the stacker of the corrugator, or even in the finishing area.
