The Vistron  Print  Position Check system provides automated checking of the position of the print on the box, during the production of packaging, made of solid and corrugated board. The vision technology system of Vistron consists of LED lighting, a high-speed digtal camera, a processing unit with software and a 24”-touchscreen for the user interface and image presentation. The Print Position Check system performs a 100 % check of every box and can be installed in Multi Point Folder Gluer of pretty much every manufacturer. Identified deviation from the target range is magnified and shown on the touchscreen and the Print Position Check system either marks the faulty box or triggers a sheet ejection device, depending on the technical capabilities of the production machine.

The Print Position Check system checks the ongoing production in real time, at a speed of up to 18,000 boxes per hour. The recognition accuracy of the system is +/- 0,1 mm. The 100 % quality check of the Vistron Print Position Check system recognizes the following, typical defects:

  • Distance between reference and leading edge of the box
  • Distance between reference and side of the box

Furthermore, statistical representation of the measured values allows conclusions to be drawn about the printing and die cutting process of your upstream machines and shows opportunities for improvements.

The configuration and installation of the Print Position Check system is customized for the machine it will go into. Information about a reference installation is available upon request. Entering new orders and operating the system is easy and comfortable, by means of a 24” touchscreen monitor. Identified faults are shown on the monitor. Pictures with faults can be zoomed in and out directly on the monitor and therefore, provide useful information for root cause analysis and trouble shooting. For each order, a detailed report is created, which is available for an in-depth evaluation of any potential issues. The Vistron Print Prosition Check system checks 100 % of the production of printed jobs, reliably and fatigue-free. Via an error indication unit, a marking system or a fully automatic box ejection system can be triggered, so that your customers receive only boxes on which the print is positioned correctly.
